RICARDO GRANILLO FUNES
Ricardo is a recognized and respected entrepreneur in El Salvador. Founder and President of itravel4health and three other major businesses in tourism, technology and residential management. He graduated in with a B.S. degree in Business Administration from U.C.A., University of Central America in El Salvador. He has over 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in Germany, Brazil, Jamaica, Nicaragua and the United States of America for Bayer AG. He’s also lived in Costa Rica working for Glaxo Smith Kline as a Regional Comercial Director for Central America and part of South America.
After several years living abroad, he decided to come back to El Salvador to work for TACA (now AVIANCA) in the international department as a Regional Commercial Director for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean for five years. He also worked as Business Manager for TIGO, one of the most important telecommunication companies in the country.
He is currently member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of CORSATUR, the Salvadorian Tourism Corporation and founder and active member of various influential groups in the country. He is proficient in English, Spanish, German and Portuguese.

RICARDO COHEN SCHILDKNECHT
Ricardo is a renowned businessman and respected for his successful business career with over 25 years experience in the business of insurance, reinsurance and financial services as a former financial adviser at the Prudential Insurance Company of America and subsequently Executive Chairman of Aseguradora Suiza Salvadoreña S.A. (ASESUISA), an insurance company subsidiary of International Financial Conglomerate Banagrícola S.A., based in Panama and El Salvador. Under his leadership, ASESUISA became the leading insurance company in El Salvador. He led the sale and transition of the company to Seguros Suramericana, the leading insurance group in Colombia and part of Grupo Sura, a multi-business and multi-latin Conglomerate.
He is currently an active entrepreneur and founder of two pioneering green field operations in its field: itravel4health (a medical tourism facilitator) and an insurance and financial advice company. At the same time, he is actively involved in new investments and family business. He also serves and has served on boards of several private companies, associations and non-governmental organizations in the financial, commercial and industrial sectors. Most recently, he was elected to the Board of FUSADES, a leading “Think Tank” in Central America.
Ricardo graduated with a double major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Lehigh, Pennsylvania, followed by a specialization in insurance and reinsurance in Zurich, Switzerland. He has spoken at conferences on issues related to the insurance industry in Central America and is an active member and former chapter president of El Salvador of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO for its acronym in English) and a member of the inaugural class Leaders Initiative of Central America (CALI) of the Global Leadership Network Aspen, based in Aspen, Colorado and Washington DC (USA). He is proficient in English, French and Spanish.
